NexSys® iON is an industrial lithium-ion motive-power line designed for demanding material-handling applications where fast recharge capability, integrated controls and reduced routine battery maintenance are priorities.
APPLICATION OVERVIEW
For fleets evaluating lithium-ion, the key question is not simply whether the truck can accept a lithium battery. The battery capacity, truck communication, connector, compartment, ballast requirements, charger and duty cycle all have to be reviewed together.
Opportunity charging can be especially useful in multi-shift operations because charging can occur during breaks or planned idle periods. The actual charging strategy should be sized around energy consumption and available facility power.
FITMENT INFORMATION TO PROVIDE
Send the equipment make/model, current battery voltage and Ah rating, battery compartment dimensions, connector details, shift profile and delivery ZIP code. For chargers, also provide facility input voltage and phase.
WHY SYSTEM MATCHING MATTERS
Battery, charger and truck compatibility should be verified as a system. Incorrect voltage, charging profile, connector arrangement, battery weight or physical dimensions can prevent a replacement from working correctly even when the battery technology appears similar.
